Auvik Networks - Software Engineer Position

Overview:

Auvik Networks is a leading provider of network management software that helps IT teams automate time-consuming tasks, streamline operations, and mitigate risk. Our software enables remote monitoring and management of network infrastructure, providing essential visibility and control for our customers.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Architect Developer to join our agile team of coders in developing a network management service that monitors millions of devices. As a key member of our team, you will design architectures for microservices, deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes orchestration, and develop reliable and performant code for our collector deployed at tens of thousands of customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing architectures for microservices that are consistent, scalable, high quality, and tolerant to faults and failures.
  • Deploying and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Designing and implementing protocols for communication in a highly scalable, distributed system.
  • Developing reliable and performant code for our collector deployed at tens of thousands of customer sites.
  • Developing tooling using information from Netflow, Syslog, and other networking standards.
  • Helping expand the depth and breadth of our solution based on your deep knowledge of networking devices and protocols.
  • Collaborating with engineering and product management to deliver software components to meet the needs of our customers.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience developing quality code and architectures preferably using C++ or Golang.
  • Background in designing and developing microservices.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, preferably AWS.
  • Adept in building reliable, highly available, and scalable software on top of the Kafka streaming platform.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies such as scrum.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipeline to test and deploy.
  • Possession of strong communication skills (written and verbal) to work collaboratively with the immediate team and the larger organization.

Location:
