Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Database Administration: Configure and maintain SQL Security controls, proactively monitor SQL Server maintenance tasks, troubleshoot failed processes, and manage database backup and recovery and disaster recovery planning.
  • SQL Server Administrator: Expert MS-SQL DBA, configure and manage SQL Server instance creation, configuration, and maintenance, and download and install SQL Server service packs and updates.
  • High Availability and Scalability: Configure and manage high-availability solutions including AlwaysOn availability groups and failover clustering, well-versed with replication methodology, HA configuration, and failover in MS-SQL Database.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for complex database issues, including performance bottlenecks, corruption issues, and critical failures.
  • Capacity Planning and Growth: Analyze current and future database capacity requirements and plan for scalability to accommodate growth and evolving business needs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation of database architectures, configurations, and processes, and provide regular reports on database performance and status.

Requirements: We require a minimum of 10+ years of strong experience as a SQL Server Administrator, with 5+ years of proven track record in backup, recovery, and applying security patches, 4+ years of proficiency in managing and configuring high availability and disaster recovery configurations, 5+ years of proficiency in Python scripting and end-to-end automation, and strong familiarity with Azure Arc and other monitoring and management tools like Service Now. Good to have Oracle DBA knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

Compensation and Benefits: Estimated salary is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications. We offer competitive benefits package, including comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
