As a Cloud Senior Data Engineer, you'll work with our customers to analyze existing systems and prepare plans for migrating databases and data processing systems to the cloud. You'll define and implement cloud data strategies, including security posture, target operating models, DR strategies, and more. Your end-to-end data solutions will range from early concept and planning through early PoCs and benefits analysis to production rollouts.

We're looking for someone with expertise in entire software development lifecycles, CI & CD, and Data/MLOps approaches. You should have expert knowledge of SQL and at least one language used in Data Analytics/Science space (Python, R, SAS). Knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, C#, C++) is also required. Additionally, you should be familiar with Big Data and Orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Spark, and have experience working with Relational and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work with Endava's customers to analyze existing systems and prepare plans for migrating databases and data processing systems to the cloud.
  2. Define and implement cloud data strategies, including security posture, target operating models, DR strategies, and more.
  3. Deliver end-to-end data solutions – from early concept and planning, through early PoCs and benefits analysis, all the way to production rollouts.
  4. Enhance the client's data landscape by improving data lineage, quality, and reliability.
  5. Help organizations adopt AI/ML-based solutions by introducing MLOps culture.
  6. Be part of the technical advisory and cloud infrastructure team responsible for:
    1. Securing foundational Data Lakes and Data Meshes implementations.
    2. Automated provisioning of infrastructure and pipelines.
    3. Cloud-ready ETL/ELT architectures.
    4. Presenting analytical findings on cutting-edge BI Dashboards.

Qualifications:

  1. Understanding of entire software development lifecycle, CI & CD as well as Data/MLOps approach.
  2. Expert knowledge of SQL and at least one language used in Data Analytics/Science space (Python, R, SAS).
  3. Knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, C#, C++).
  4. Knowledge of Big Data and Orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Spark.
  5. Experience working with Relational and NoSQL databases.
  6. Working experience with BI Tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio).
  7. Basic understanding of GIT various automation servers (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI).
  8. Knowledge of messaging systems.
  9. Basic Knowledge of containers, Docker and Kubernetes.
  10. Cloud certifications such as Associate Cloud Engineer will be an asset.
