Position Overview

The Cyber Security Operations Engineer is responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of the organization's network systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform continuous network surveillance and intrusion detection using a variety of security tools, including IDS/IPS and firewalls.
  • Analyze network activities to uncover unauthorized usage patterns and trends.
  • Investigate emerging threats and vulnerabilities to assist in incident identification.
  • Evaluate monitoring solution outputs, conducting event correlation and classification to manage incidents effectively.
  • Provide constructive feedback to enhance existing monitoring protocols based on industry best practices.
  • Work independently while collaborating with IT and business teams to ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Foster positive working relationships within the team and demonstrate innovative problem-solving capabilities.
  • Maintain focus on results and exhibit strong decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science or Cyber Security is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Information Security, particularly in Incident Response or Security Operations.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to professional conduct are essential.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to extended work hours when necessary.
  • A self-motivated approach to continuous learning and professional development is expected.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are required.
  • Additional certifications in Cyber Defense, Incident Response, or Forensics are beneficial.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in incident response and security risk management.
  • Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud security practices and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Knowledge of network security protocols and tools.
  • Understanding of identity and access management frameworks.
  • Experience with forensics and malware analysis.
  • Ability to analyze threat intelligence feeds.
