About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our team at Appgate. As a Technical Lead, you will play a key role in leading the design effort for our products and services, working closely with our product owners, team leaders, and software engineers to design, architect, and develop new product offerings and improve existing ones in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, ensuring that our products and services meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  • Design and Architecture: Lead the design effort for our products and services, working closely with our product owners and software engineers to ensure that our solutions meet the needs of our customers.
  • Cloud Solutions: Develop and maintain our cloud-based solutions, ensuring that they are scalable, secure, and meet the needs of our customers.
  • Technical Collaboration: Collaborate with our development team, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure that our products and services meet the needs of our customers.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and mitigate technical risks, including security risks, and develop solutions to complex technical problems.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience working at a professional level, with at least 2 years of current hands-on experience in cloud solutions and 4 years of current hands-on development experience in Java technologies.
  • Skills: Solid technical background with skills in multiple programming languages, understanding of web, mobile, cloud, and API development concepts and patterns, and experience with DevOps tools like Docker, Rancher, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Distributed Processing Frameworks: Experience with frameworks like Flink and Spark.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java, JPA, Spring framework, Python, and NodeJS.
  • Security Best Practices: Experience with security best practices and technologies.
  • English Language: English language proficiency at level B2 or higher.
