Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our team, working on the development of backend components for all Bitfinex Services, including the main trading application, Bitfinex Pay, Lightning Network support, and blockchain integrations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing new products and features using agile methodologies to provide a seamless user experience;
  • Ensuring scalability and responsiveness of backend services as the platform grows;
  • Designing and implementing secure API services and backend processes to protect user safety.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 6+ years of experience in Node/JavaScript development;
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture;
  • Experience interacting with databases (MySQL, MongoDB);
  • A proven track record in developing complex platforms;
  • The ability to quickly learn new technologies;
  • A good understanding of security practices.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include flexible work arrangements, opportunities for growth and professional development, and a dynamic, remote work environment.
