Job Overview:

Liberty Specialty Markets is seeking an experienced Vendor Operations Manager to join our Global Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Vendor Operations Specialists and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and vendor partners to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management – Lead and oversee daily operations managing offshore vendors in Underwriting, Claims, Exposure Management, and Energy & Construction, as well as onshore teams of individual contributors and/or managers.
  • Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to align Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and monitor outsourced performance, proactively addressing challenges.
  • Manage vendor budget, ensuring all KPIs are achieved within financial parameters and recommending cost-saving measures.
  • Create presentations and dashboards to communicate results to internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Lead meetings with various stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of work meets quality, timeliness, and other operational metrics.
  • Define performance goals and development plans for team members and make hiring and compensation recommendations.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with both internal stakeholders and vendor partners.
  • Develop policies and procedures for outsourcing key processes and oversee the implementation of new programs.
  • Engage in strategic vendor management in day-to-day account oversight.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English.
  • Understanding of underwriting lifecycle.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 7 years of team management in Vendor Management and/or Operations.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships across diverse organizations and cultures while managing competing priorities.
  • Ability to lead, organize, and get work done through others.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on continuous improvement.
