Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team in the Finance department. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our finance applications.
Main Responsibilities:
- Monitor critical components of our systems and troubleshoot issues as necessary based on established runbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Manage regular production start-of-business checks and periodic health checks of our applications and processes.
- Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including business users, development staff, and infrastructure teams, for issue resolution, user training, and query resolution.
- Manage incident, problem, and capacity management according to organizational policies for applications in scope.
Requirements:
- University graduate in Information Technology.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in application support.
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities, organize tasks, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early shifts, late shifts, weekends, and bank holidays, on a rotational basis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; willingness to learn and adapt to different technologies.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and reliable team player.
- Good communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
Tech Skills:
- Experience in banking/financial services supporting large applications.
- Hands-on experience in Linux and any one RDBMS like Oracle/MSSQL.
- Experience in production support, including managing incidents and problems.
- Experience in disaster recovery planning and test execution.
