As a Logistics Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the transportation, distribution, and related logistics of goods and services to and from internal and/or external customers/suppliers. You will lead departmental operations and be responsible for planning and execution, focusing on the execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead end-to-end logistics solutions to achieve required on-time pick up and delivery of goods, managing logistics costs to meet budgets and operational plans.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, using prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy and strategy.
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers, using this understanding to accomplish own work and integrate with other teams to contribute to the area.
  • Use judgment and propose different solutions outside of set parameters, with guidance, using prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.
  • Proven interpersonal skills, demonstrated people leader who can help lead and develop talent, providing informal guidance to team members.

Requirements

  • This role requires advanced experience in logistics, transportation, and distribution, with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with previous experience with Oracle ERP (Logistics) beneficial.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems, and ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills and previous experience with SAP helpful.
