Job Summary

Critical Mass is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front-End Technology Lead to join our team. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing front-end solutions, leading technical projects, and mentoring junior developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement front-end solutions using React JS, Next JS, and Graph QL.
  • Lead technical projects from conception to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, business, and management, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues, providing root cause analysis and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our solutions.

Requirements

  • Advanced English proficiency (B2+ reading, writing, and conversation).
  • At least 5 years of experience working exclusively with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
  • Proven experience developing applications with React JS, Next JS, and Graph QL.
  • Expert knowledge of recent development patterns and practices (Mobile First, MVC, Object Oriented development).
  • Expert knowledge on integrating front-end solutions with APIs and web services.
  • Proficiency with popular JavaScript frameworks and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Work experience configuring, using, and troubleshooting tools such as process automation & scripting (e.g., Webpack or Gulp) and pre-process tools (e.g., SASS, LESS).
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven track record as a technical team leader, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills experience required.
  • Capable of configuring automation tools such as Webpack or Gulp and including common project tasks such as: pre-processing, minification, code obfuscation, etc.
  • Knowledge of design patterns (e.g., model-view-controller, observer, object oriented, etc.) and working with several mainstream libraries and frameworks (jQuery, Angular, VueJS, or any other).
  • Proficiency with data transfer formats and protocols popular in web applications (e.g., JSON, XML, HTTP).
  • Capable of designing and choosing a quality assurance process for the project including guidelines for unit tests, load testing, performance testing.
  • Capable of writing code compliant with modern accessibility (e.g., ARIA, WCAG, Microformats, ADA, RDF) and SEO guidelines and best practices.
  • Capable of working with new technologies and building proof of concept prototypes.
  • Capable of troubleshooting, debugging, and doing root cause analysis of web platform issues.
  • BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline; or equivalent strong experience as Software Development Lead in exact areas of expertise required for CM (Digital Agencies projects, Web development projects, SCRUM/Agile software projects).
