Position Overview: Software System Developer

In this role, you will collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers in an agile framework. The software you create will interface with a multitude of systems and is utilized by top broadcast and telecom firms globally. Your mission will be to bridge the gap between users and products, simplifying the orchestration of intricate technological ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop back-end applications for robust system integrations.
  • Create front-end interfaces for specific system integrations.
  • Collaborate with team members to assess client requirements and deliver top-notch solutions, focusing on customer priorities.
  • Become a subject matter expert in one or more products or technology domains, aligned with your interests and skills.
  • Advance as a technological authority and share your expertise through coaching, training, and mentoring.
  • Implement agile methodologies and leverage its iterative approach to strive for Minimum Viable Products (MVP).

Required Qualifications:

Your coding skills are essential, but let’s delve into the specific technical expertise needed to excel as a Software System Developer.

  • Proficient in C# and the .Net Framework.
  • Familiarity with markup languages (e.g., XML).
  • Understanding of communication protocols such as SNMP, HTTP, or serial.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, multithreading, Web Services (REST, SOAP), and JSON is advantageous.
  • Experience with databases (e.g., MySQL, Apache Cassandra) and Microsoft Visio is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of the telecom and broadcast sectors is beneficial (e.g., HFC broadband, IPTV, broadcast, cable, satellite systems).
