Job Title: Regional Director Assistant
Job Summary:
Handicap International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Director Assistant to support the Regional Director in the management of our regional operations in Latin America. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Regional Director, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of regional strategies and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Regional Director, including preparing reports, managing correspondence, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of regional strategies and policies, including monitoring and evaluating program progress and identifying areas for improvement.
- Support the Regional Director in the management of regional operations, including coordinating with country managers and other regional staff.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial reports, as well as ensuring compliance with Handicap International's financial policies and procedures.
- Provide technical support to country managers and other regional staff, including training and capacity building.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of emergency preparedness and response plans, including coordinating with regional and country staff.
- Represent Handicap International at regional and international meetings, as required.
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in positions of relevant operational responsibility.
- Proven experience in methodological support to project design and management.
- Planning and management.
- Objectives and contents of the transformation projects (simplification, leading change).
- Written and oral communication in Spanish and French or English.
- Management and leadership of multi-cultural and multi-sector programs.
Contract Details:
- 36 months international contract starting from September 2024.
- The international contract provides social cover adapted to your situation.
- Unemployment insurance benefits for EU nationals.
- Medical coverage with 50% of employee contribution.
- Repatriation insurance paid by HI.
- Salary from 2869€ gross/month upon experience.
- Perdiem: depends on the country - paid in the field.
- Hardship: In Venezuela only : 250€/month paid with your salary.
- Paid leaves: 25 days per year.
- R&R:
- Payment for travel costs (air ticket & visa) and transport of your personal effects.
- Mission of more than 12 months: a child allowance of 100€ per month, per child.
- Open to couples:
- Support travel costs (air ticket & visa) for accompanying dependent and health/repatriation insurance if the dependent has no income.
- Payment of one yearly additional return flight.
- Open to families in Peru/Honduras or Colombia only:
- Family package:
- A child allowance of 100€ per month, per child (from the second child) paid in the field.
- Contribution to school registration fees for children over 3 years.
- Payment for travel costs (air ticket & visa) and transport of your personal effects.
- Housing: Individual taken in charge by HI.
