Our client is a leading investment company that specializes in identifying and managing high-potential companies and projects in Latin America.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our team in Colombia. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with our investment team to identify promising opportunities within the region and providing strategic support throughout the investment process;
  • Collecting market intelligence from Colombia and the rest of Latin America, and regularly reporting back to our global team;
  • Assisting our Investment and Sustainability teams in managing the regional portfolio, including maintaining borrower relationships and supporting monitoring visits. Addressing restructuring and issues within the portfolio alongside the investment and sustainability teams.

Key Responsibilities

The Associate Director will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, borrowers, and industry experts;
  • Providing strategic support to our investment team, including conducting market research and analyzing investment opportunities;
  • Collaborating with our Sustainability team to ensure that our investment decisions align with our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles;
  • Assisting with the development of investment strategies and proposals, including conducting due diligence and financial analysis;
  • Providing regular updates and reports to our global team, including market intelligence and investment performance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A solid understanding of international or regional industrial and commercial actors;
  • Experience in the investment, corporate, governmental, or sustainability/climate change sectors;
  • Strong technical skills, including financial analysis and market research;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders;
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
