About the Role

This position involves leading thorough investigations into privacy practices across the advertising ecosystem, focusing on compliance with global data protection regulations and surfacing areas of critical risk.

You will be responsible for crafting compelling narratives around our investigative research, collaborating with cross-functional teams to produce high-impact reports that resonate with industry stakeholders, policymakers, regulators, and the public.

Responsibilities
  • Lead investigative efforts to uncover deceptive practices within the ad supply chain, identifying benchmarks and risks.
  • Analyze large datasets with data scientists and engineers to extract meaningful insights.
  • Oversee the production of high-quality reports and articles, communicating complex findings to diverse audiences.
  • Maintain relationships with industry insiders, regulators, and stakeholders to support research.
  • Present findings to internal teams and external partners through various channels.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as an investigative journalist.
  • Demonstrated understanding of global privacy compliance, particularly in digital advertising and consumer targeting.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with ability to interpret complex data.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
