At Bitfinex, we're pushing the boundaries of digital asset trading. As a Cryptocurrency Risk Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in identifying and mitigating risks to our platform.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced AML Compliance Investigator to join our team. In this role, you'll conduct thorough investigations into suspicious activity, working closely with our Compliance Team to ensure timely SAR submissions and robust regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct investigations into unusual activity, determining risk exposure to Bitfinex and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Provide support to Customer Help Desk / Legal Team requests for investigative assistance.
  • Communicate with customers, agents, and internal attorneys as applicable.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A university education (preferred)
  • Experience in an investigative function
  • Demonstrated AML experience, including customer and enhanced due diligence, AML/CTF/Sanctions Investigations, and SAR/STR reporting
  • BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY (enhanced in the role)
  • CAMS/CBP designation (preferred)
  • EXCELLENT WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • DEMONSTRATED CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS (decision-making)
  • DEMONSTRATED ATTENTION TO DETAIL
  • ORGANIZATIONAL UNDERSTANDING (enhanced in the role)
What We Offer

In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on location and experience. As a remote worker, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere, while still being part of a dynamic and innovative team.
