Role Summary:
The New Feature Backend Engineer is a full-time role responsible for architecting and building our back end in conjunction with our Head of Product & Chief Technology Officer. The role requires a hybrid of technical knowledge and a depth of understanding about the business case for our application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop efficient and scalable backend systems using Django REST Framework.
- Write new views, models, and serializers to improve application functionality.
- Identify and drive changes as needed for codebases, product areas, and/or systems.
- Execute the design, and development of our backend applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Champion best practices, code quality, and standards across the backend team.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends, tools, and technologies in backend development, incorporating them into our development processes as appropriate.
- Contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap, providing insights and recommendations for improving our backend architecture and development processes.
About You:
- You are a seasoned Backend Software Engineer with a desire to advance your career within a full-time role at a company where your work is critical to the success of the company.
- You have 3+ years of experience leading software design decisions, defining and managing end-to-end project requirements, and shipping complex products with minimal guidance.
