Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our Bogota office. As part of our Geotechnical Group, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing assessments and analysis of the ground on which buildings and other structures will be erected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine soil stability and rock formations at proposed building sites
  • Confirm the safety and durability of surfaces for building projects
  • Design structural foundations and conduct environmental testing
  • Study safety quality standards and ensure adherence to these standards
  • Inspect foundations and review work plans
  • Present possible project risks and make recommendations for foundations and excavation activities
  • Perform analysis and design of deep foundations for Civil, Marine, and DOD projects
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, and contractors
  • Review test results and make recommendations
  • Prepare geotechnical reports for clients
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Professional License if required by state or country where this position will be located
  • Experience utilizing geotechnical software (L-Pile, A-Pile, WEAP) & AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Availability and willingness to travel
  • Bi-lingual / multi-lingual desired
Physical Requirements

Sedentary for prolonged periods of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
