Chevron is currently seeking applications for the Tax Analyst role.

This position is ideal for a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in the hydrocarbon industry, particularly within organizations classified as significant taxpayers or large enterprises. The individual will oversee all tax compliance activities of the organization, ensuring adherence to prevailing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate municipal and national tax reports along with relevant information submissions.
  • Analyze and review updates in tax legislation, assessing their impact on operational processes and collaborating with various business units to communicate these changes, especially concerning taxes relevant to the fuel sector.
  • Develop and sustain tax-related procedures.
  • Provide guidance to business units on consulting matters and manage information requests for internal purposes.
  • Lead tax planning efforts, assess, and engage in business initiatives to evaluate tax implications.
  • Manage tax audits, respond to information requests, and coordinate support in litigation matters.
  • Assist in monthly and annual closing activities associated with tax matters, including accrual calculations, effective tax rates, and deferred income tax.
  • Perform other duties as required by the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Public Accounting with a focus on Taxation.
  • Familiarity with IFRS international standards.
  • Proficient in English at an intermediate to advanced level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced skills in Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software such as SAP and JDE.
  • Proficiency in digitization and process automation.

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered for this position.

International Considerations:

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
