We are seeking an experienced Drilling Operations Supervisor to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership and technical skills to oversee the operations of contract drilling or workover rigs.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will supervise and coordinate all aspects of drilling operations, ensuring that they are carried out safely and efficiently. This includes coordinating deliveries of materials, overseeing contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with company safety standards.

About You
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in drilling and workover operations.
  • You have at least 7 years of experience in drilling and workover operations, including supervisory experience on a drilling or workover rig.
  • You are willing to live in remote areas in mobile camps.
Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and oversee all operations performed on our wells.
  2. Make recommendations on alternative methods or equipment when unusual situations are encountered.
  3. Coordinate deliveries of materials to the well to ensure it is available when required.
  4. Ensure that the contractor meets all requirements of his contract.
  5. Work with Drilling and Workover engineers to see that modern drilling practices are followed.
  6. Approve contractor's daily tour report.
  7. Ensure that contractor rig and equipment are properly maintained to avoid downtime.
  8. Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by Supt.
  9. Ensure that our blowout prevention standards are met in all respects including equipment configuration, testing, and crew response.
Benefits
  • A competitive monthly base salary of approximately $10,500 USD.
  • A monthly overbase payment of 25% of your monthly base salary.
  • A benefits supplement of 20% of your monthly base salary after 3 years of service, increasing to 30% after 6 years and 35% after 12 years.
  • A severance package with a vest period of 2 years, providing 2 weeks' pay for each year of service after year 5 and 4 weeks' pay for each year after year 6.
  • An employment tax exemption for employees choosing to separate themselves from their 'home country' for income tax purposes.
  • An employee share purchase plan (ESPP) allowing eligible employees to purchase up to 10% of their monthly base pay in shares.
  • An incentive plan based on annual performance, providing approximately 1.8 times the monthly base salary.
  • A travel allowance of approximately $8,200 per household member 11+ years old residing in Saudi Arabia and $6,000 per household member under 11 years old.
  • Vacation and paid holidays, including 38 vacation days and 4 travel days.
  • Complimentary in-Kingdom medical care and facilities for employees and their families.
  • An educational assistance plan providing up to 90% of expenses for children's education, including undergraduate college-age children.
  • A settling in allowance of one-time payment of 100% of monthly base salary for family status and 60% of monthly base salary for single/bachelor status.
