Cloud Engineer

Join a team of experts at Alliance Bioversity-CIAT as we seek a seasoned Cloud Engineer to drive the implementation of hybrid environments in our organization.

The salary for this position is approximately $60,000-$80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and support scalable and secure cloud and hybrid solutions tailored to research projects. This role will bridge the gap between development/research and operations teams by enhancing automation, monitoring, and deployment processes for both on-premises and cloud-based environments.

• Evaluate new technologies and promote serverless frameworks
• Assist with cloud migration and optimize resource usage to improve performance, reduce costs, and support data management
• Facilitate collaboration through seamless access to shared data and resources
• Maintain a deep understanding of the organization's vision and strategic plan to ensure cloud and hybrid initiatives align with organizational goals

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or related fields
• Specialization, training courses, or certifications in Cloud Computing, Systems Architecture, AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, AWS Specialty certifications, Azure and Google Cloud Platform certifications
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an international organization, research, or academic environment in DevOps, system administration, or cloud operations
