Role Overview
Key Responsibilities:
As a specialist in observability, you will ensure the stability, availability, and performance of our systems and services. Collaborate with development and operations teams to grasp the observability and monitoring requirements for their services. Work closely with our teams to design, implement, and maintain solutions for monitoring, logging, and tracing that facilitate quick issue identification and resolution. Enable and promote the observability practice. Act as an integral member of the squad. Advocate for minimal manual intervention in system administration and upgrades, alongside the development of automated incident responses. Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions utilizing tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Jaeger, etc. Ensure monitoring processes align with the underlying business processes they support. Set up observability and monitoring systems to deliver actionable insights that enhance system stability, performance, and availability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to observability systems, including data quality, system availability, and performance challenges. Continuously assess new and emerging observability technologies and tools, making recommendations for their adoption. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation on observability systems and procedures.Required Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP. Proficiency with tools such as Dynatrace (Required), Netcool, Devo, Netscout, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Jaeger, etc. Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and containerization. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Experience managing large datasets. Basic understanding of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence applications. Proficient in English. Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.Additional Information:
