Position Overview
As a key member of the Global Non-IT Procurement team, the Procurement Category Lead for Professional Services will spearhead the development, management, and execution of sourcing strategies across various subcategories, including Consulting, HR Services, Learning & Development, and Recruitment. The primary objective is to enhance category performance to meet the expectations of all stakeholders, aligning with Central Procurement's commitment to deliver business value, promote digital transformation, and manage vendor and risk considerations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main strategic liaison for internal clients and key supplier manager for relevant procurement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Regional Category Manager and Global Category Manager to formulate and implement a robust regional sourcing strategy for the designated subcategories.
- Conduct strategic procurement activities, including market research, demand forecasting, formal tendering, offer evaluations, contract negotiations, and contract award proposals.
- Gather and articulate business and client requirements during negotiations and contracting processes.
- Draft contracts in partnership with the legal department and other relevant specialists as necessary.
- Perform spend analysis to establish quantitative and qualitative optimization targets within the assigned subcategories and product groups.
- Collaborate with the Regional Non-IT Procurement team and the Global Non-IT Procurement team to develop sourcing and supplier strategies.
- Deliver high-quality procurement outcomes and reporting as part of the Americas Shared Services Organization.
- Maintain a centralized repository for contracts, completed agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), and amendments for the assigned subcategories.
- Actively support the automation and digitization of Source-to-Contract (S2C) and Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes through the use of the global procurement platform.
- Identify and explore new business areas where Procurement can add value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (required).
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (preferred).
- Over 5 years of relevant procurement experience or a proven track record in similar roles.
- Experience leading strategic sourcing initiatives in an international context, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional negotiation teams.
- Strong understanding of BPO and Professional Services subcategories, including consulting, temporary labor, recruitment, and HR services.
- Demonstrated project management skills with a history of delivering category and sourcing strategies driven by data.
- Proficient in contract terminology and skilled in developing alternative clauses in collaboration with in-house legal teams.
- Able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Capable of balancing risk and compliance requirements effectively.
- Technical expertise in supported category strategies, with a clear understanding of how regional and global strategies impact local markets.
- Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
