Job Title: Senior Email Developer

The Senior Email Developer is a key member of our team, responsible for designing and developing responsive email designs that meet our high standards. As a seasoned professional, you will work independently to create visually appealing and engaging email campaigns that drive results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop responsive email templates using HTML, CSS, and media queries.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure email designs are pixel-perfect and meet brand guidelines.
  • Work with the tech leads and PMs to ensure email campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of email best practices and industry trends.
  • Coach and support junior email developers to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Optimize email templates for maximum performance and minimum size.
  • Ensure desktop and browser compatibility across various email clients.
Requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3-4 years of email-specific development experience.
  • Digital portfolio showcasing dynamic email samples.
  • English proficiency (B2+/C1 reading, writing, and conversation).
  • Familiarity with ad publishers (e.g., Salesforce, Engage, Marketo, Silverpop, etc.).
  • Knowledge of pixel-perfect implementation on HTMLs.
  • Knowledge of MSO compatibility and issues-related fixes.
  • ADA compliance knowledge.
  • Dark mode and fixes.
  • Experience with dev skills in HTML, CSS.
  • Concept of live text vs images.
  • Knowledge in W3C Standards (or able to learn quickly about them).
  • Image optimization.
  • Independent, responsible, and proactive with the ability to learn and achieve superior results.
  • Understanding of media queries for responsive layout.
  • Experience working with mobile and web templates.
  • Basic HTML and simple/nested table structure.
  • Hands-on QA experience utilizing Litmus or similar.
  • Photoshop proficiency required to manipulate assets.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and the ability to meet deadlines while working with multiple projects.
  • Proven experience with modern web standards and cross-browser compatibility issues.
  • Familiarity with MSO code.
  • Implementation of Email templates.
  • Pros and cons of using different attributes that impact the rendering in popular email clients like Gmail, Yahoo, etc. vs native apps like Outlook especially for Windows.
  • Knowledge using repositories (e.g., GitHub or Bitbucket).
  • Ability to work with IDEs (Sublime Text or Visual Studio Code is required).
  • Experience with front-end, JavaScript, and frameworks.
