Job Description:

We are seeking an exceptional Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS.
  2. Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline deployment and configuration processes.
  3. Collaborate with the operations team to architect and maintain IT infrastructure.
  4. Oversee releases and maintain various environments.
  5. Establish network security and disaster recovery protocols.
  6. Deploy and manage development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure.
  7. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and external interfaces.
  8. Configure necessary tools and infrastructure.
  9. Design, set up, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  10. Utilize troubleshooting techniques for IaC and CI/CD operations.
  11. Drive automation initiatives.
  12. Manage incident responses and conduct root cause analyses.
  13. Facilitate coordination and communication within the team and with stakeholders.
  14. Drive continuous improvement through CI/CD pipeline development.
  15. Maintain ticketing systems and timely updates.

Requirements:
  1. Proficiency in AWS CI/CD, Code Pipeline, and general support.
  2. Strong programming skills in Python.
  3. Proficient in administering and troubleshooting Linux OS, with bash scripting capabilities.
  4. Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo).
  5. Experience with various build, automation, IaC, and deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, Terraform).
  6. Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  7. Strong understanding of messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, AWS SNS, AWS SQS).
  8. Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Aurora, MongoDB).
  9. Understanding of networking, DNS, Route 53, and AWS IAM policy management.
  10. Experience managing storage concepts (e.g., S3, EBS).
  11. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog).
  12. Proficient in troubleshooting complex issues.
  13. Proven experience in cloud infrastructure management and cost optimization.
  14. Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  15. Minimum of 3 years of AWS deployment experience and DevOps experience.
  16. Background in genetics or genetic testing is highly advantageous.
