We are now looking for a dedicated Senior DevOps Software Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to our operation.

Position Title: Senior DevOps Software Engineer

Location: Remote - LATAM

What you will be doing:

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Software Engineer who will spearhead infrastructure automation initiatives. Your core duties entail deploying and scaling our flagship product on Kubernetes, devising cloud solutions, and architecting scalable architectures. As a senior team member, your input is crucial to integrating and supporting enterprise-level solutions, ensuring robust deployment workflows aligned with industry standards for security and compliance. We highly value individuals with extensive experience in DevOps—over 5 years, with particular expertise in Kubernetes and AWS, and proficient coding skills in Python, Go, and Bash. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Lead and manage deployment, scaling, and infrastructure automation tasks, ensuring robust configuration management across environments.
  2. Design and implement cloud solutions to meet organizational needs within labs, production, and on-premise environments.
  3. Enhance and maintain cloud-related tooling, monitoring, and diagnostic capabilities.
  4. Collaborate with software engineering teams to design and support scalable architecture solutions.
  5. Document and maintain technical architecture designs and configurations for various stakeholders.
  6. Mentor and guide junior members and cross-functional teams on DevOps best practices.
  7. Evaluate, test, and implement new tools and technologies to optimize DevOps workflows.
  8. Ensure deployment workflows adhere to industry standards on security and compliance.

Requirements & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  1. 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role or a software development role with a DevOps focus.
  2. Advanced expertise in Kubernetes with 3+ years of hands-on experience, including managing Helm charts.
  3. 2+ years of experience with AWS cloud services.
  4. 2+ years of experience administering Linux-based systems.
  5. Intermediate coding skills in Python, Go, and Bash.
  6. Proficiency in containerizing services and deploying to Kubernetes clusters.
  7. Experience with GitOps tools like Argo CD and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
  8. Strong understanding of CI/CD best practices, including familiarity with Gitlab CI and Argo CD.
  9. Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting using tools such as Grafana and Kibana.
  10. Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
  11. Demonstrated capability to enhance technology security.
  12. Proven track record in applying Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  13. Experience with Gitlab CI for continuous integration and delivery.
  14. Proficiency in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  15. Experience with HorizontalPodAutoscaler and VerticalPodAutoscaler for Kubernetes.
  16. Familiarity with network security protocols and practices.
  17. Excellent communication abilities, vital for collaborating effectively with remote teams and stakeholders across various departments.
  18. Problem-solving prowess and critical thinking, crucial for efficiently troubleshooting technical challenges using tools like Grafana and Kibana.
  19. Adaptability and openness to innovation, important for embracing new technologies and methodologies such as Agile and Scrum in fast-paced environments.
