Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Knowledge: Possess the necessary technical and functional expertise in your field. Understand the relationship between the Amadeus business and your area of focus.
- Guidance and Decision-Making: Operate within established procedures or guidelines while providing insights to influence decisions in your area. Recommend new solutions and suggest improvements based on comprehensive analysis.
- Test Strategy Development: Participate in specification and architecture reviews, providing feedback on potential impacts, risks, and gaps. Define test strategies and plans that include both functional and non-functional test cases, ensuring alignment with specifications and customer requirements.
- Test Execution: Design and script test cases, prepare testing environments, and execute tests. Provide sign-off on features based on established exit criteria and continuously evaluate the need for updates to regression and CI/CD pipelines.
- Defect Management: Identify and document defects, assigning appropriate severity levels. Conduct investigations and provide necessary information for defect resolution.
- Reporting: Communicate test activities to relevant stakeholders, providing visibility on testing milestones.
- Support and Mentorship: Offer guidance and support to new team members and peers based on your experience.
- Knowledge Sharing: Disseminate knowledge on specific topics within the QA community and among other stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance Advocacy: Take responsibility for the quality control of projects, products, or releases, promoting best practices in quality assurance.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance current quality processes within a dynamic development lifecycle framework.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a proficient Quality Assurance Specialist with a strong background in full-stack development and testing. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with at least 5 years of practical experience, including mentoring roles. Expertise in automation testing and familiarity with GIT is essential. Experience with Jira, Scrum, and Agile methodologies, along with strong communication and analytical skills, is required. Providing technical guidance to the team is a crucial aspect of this role. Additional knowledge of Jenkins, Octaine, Confluence, Selenium, and cloud technologies would be advantageous.
