Key Responsibilities:

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Test Strategy: Participate in specification and architecture reviews, offering feedback on potential impacts, risks, issues, or gaps based on your experience. Define the test strategy and plan, ensuring alignment with specifications and customer requirements while adhering to CI/CD and quality guidelines.
  • Test Expertise: Design and document test cases, prepare testing environments, and execute test cases. Provide sign-off on tested features based on established exit criteria. Continuously evaluate the need to modify test cases in the regression and CI/CD pipeline.
  • Test Automation: Assess the need for automating test scripts and contribute to the enhancement of the test automation framework.
  • Defect Management: Log defects for software or documentation, assigning appropriate severity levels and providing necessary information for resolution. Verify defect fixes and determine readiness for production.
  • Reporting: Communicate test activities to the line organization, software developers, and product definition analysts, ensuring visibility on testing milestones to all stakeholders.
  • Support: Mentor newcomers and provide tailored support to QA peers based on experience.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Disseminate knowledge on specific topics within the QA community and among other stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance Ambassador: Take responsibility for project, product, or release quality control and promote best practices within relevant teams.
  • Technicity: Utilize QA tools and frameworks effectively, proposing improvements or developing new solutions as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance current quality processes within a dynamic development lifecycle framework.

About the Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a proficient Quality Assurance Specialist with extensive experience in full-stack development and testing. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience, including mentoring roles. Expertise in automation testing and familiarity with GIT is essential. Experience with Jira, Scrum, and Agile methodologies, along with strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills, is required. Providing technical guidance to the team is a key aspect of this role. Knowledge of Jenkins, Octane, Confluence, Selenium, and cloud technologies would be advantageous.
