Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our Global Finance Team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's financial operations, overseeing all accounting activities to meet legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bank statement imports, including bank reconciliation and preparing the cash flow statement for management.
  • Preparing and processing payments to suppliers, tax authorities, and salaries.
  • Gathering and delivering purchase invoices to the accounting firm, correct recognition of costs, and accruing costs.
  • Processing, double-checking, and delivering intercompany invoices to the head office.
  • Reviewing and translating financial statements and reports delivered by the accounting firm and reporting accurate numbers to the head office.
  • Collecting information from HR and preparing payroll payments for employees.
  • Reconciling intercompany transactions, understanding rebilling of goods and services, and processing general ledger adjustments in the P&L.
  • Collaborating closely with the Finance Team and VP of Finance to streamline financial planning and decision-making.
  • Timely processing of the period close, processing all month-end adjustments, including accruals and provisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards and local regulations.
  • 1-5 years of experience in Finance and accounting, preferably in an international environment.
  • Proven track record of experience in accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxes, and general accounting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle time-sensitive tasks.
  • Proactive and dynamic, with a strong understanding of data privacy standards, integrity, honesty, and a high level of motivation and enthusiasm.
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Experience with Accounting ERP systems, preferably Netsuite and/or Stripe, would be a plus.
