We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Purser Assistant Junior to join our team. As a key member of our Guest Services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
As a Purser Assistant Junior, you will be responsible for:
- Creating a welcoming environment by meeting and greeting guests, answering, screening and forwarding incoming phone calls, and ensuring the reception area is tidy and presentable.
- Consistently maintaining high visibility during published desk hours, socializing with passengers, answering general inquiries, and providing support to all guests.
- Promptly and meaningfully addressing and acting upon all passenger inquiries regarding onboard amenities and services.
- Ensuring all complaints from guests are listened to with empathy and understood, showing genuine interest at all times.
- Taking ownership of each complaint, following up with the passenger in question. Accurately listing specific details of the resolution when updating the Passenger in Focus file, and keeping the Guest Relations Manager informed at all times.
- Maintaining an accurate float and correctly settling shipboard accounts by accepting payments made by credit card, traveler's check, or cash as per Company Policies & Procedures.
- Always holding daily desk hours as published or as directed by the Guest Services Director.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise- At least 1 year experience as Front Desk Receptionist from 4 or 5 stars hotels/resorts or cruise ships.
- Graduate of a recognized hotel or business school (preferred).
- Proficiency in the use of computer-based programs (M/S Office, Outlook, various Web Browsers).
- Fluent English language skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of additional languages is preferred.

- Personable communicator with outstanding social skills and a warm, friendly, and caring personality.
