Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sports Data Manager to join our team at Genius Sports. This is a full-time role that requires strong analytical and research skills, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

About the Role

This position will be responsible for managing a database of global sporting events, ensuring the accuracy of data related to these events, and providing post-match statistics to our internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research information about sporting events and manage a database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Squads management - players' transfer monitoring and update to maintain the integrity of the database.
  • Pre-match market settlement by using sporting statistics and results to inform decision-making.
  • Establish links between internal database and third-party sources to enhance data quality and accessibility.
  • Provide operational support and day-to-day communication with internal teams, customers, and partners to ensure seamless collaboration.
Requirements
  • Strong interest in sports and ability to analyze complex data sets.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail to ensure data accuracy.
  • Prioritization and time management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Stress tolerance and ability to work under pressure to maintain productivity and efficiency.
  • Good command of verbal and written English to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Good computer literacy and proficiency in software applications relevant to the role.
