Position Summary

The Operations Director will oversee the operations, distribution, traffic, and logistics of a facility located in Mexico. This role will lead and inspire a team of employees to achieve their personal potential and meet corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directs Distribution Operations: Directs, develops, and leads WAI Mexico's distribution operations, traffic, logistics, and storage.
  • Manages P&L: Holds P&L responsibility for all sites in Mexico and manages resources within the distribution group.
  • Develops Long-Range Objectives: Develops long-range objectives, strategies, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for operations and distribution centers.
  • Leads Process Improvement Initiatives: Proactively investigates and implements process improvement initiatives to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Ensures a Safe Work Environment: Develops and enforces comprehensive safety protocols, conducts regular audits and inspections, and provides ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment.
Qualifications
  • Education: Master's Degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management, or Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in warehouse team leadership within a distribution center.
  • Skills: Strong analytical abilities, proven track record working with big box retailers and business to consumer's operations, Lean / Six Sigma / Lean Daily Management / Strategy Deployment, supplier negotiation skills, and cost reduction efforts.
