Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

IDT Corporation is a global leader in prepaid communication and payment services, and we're seeking a skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join our development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our development practices.

• Collaborate with the scrum team to understand new features and translate user stories into working test plans and test cases.
• Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like test data, data validation, and automated scripts.
• Ensure that test cases created are detailed and ready for automation.
• Develop and maintain automated functional tests for API and databases.
• Analyze test results to ensure correct functionality and interact with the team for resolution of defects.
• Build API mocks and other requisite testing tools.

• Strong understanding of Linux OS.
• Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
• Excellent understanding and expertise in writing and executing SQL (DDL and DML) queries to perform back-end testing.
• Hands-on experience in testing REST and/or SOAP APIs.
• Experience with API testing using Postman.
• Run and implement UNIX shell scripts.
• Comprehensive analysis of errors found using logs, database queries, and the UNIX file system.
• Strong understanding of modern test methodologies such as fakes, mocks, and dependency injection.
• Flexible, organized, self-starting team player who is comfortable working in an Agile development environment.

• Automation experience, particularly in developing automated API tests.
• Experience in the Telecom Domain.
• Java development experience.
• Performance testing with K6 or JMeter.
• AWS knowledge and experience.
• Docker knowledge and experience.
