A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include:

  • Leading the design and development of cloud-based data pipelines using technologies like Snowflake, Informatica Cloud, Coalesce, DBT, Airflow, Oracle, and Python.
  • Championing best practices for data architecture, governance, and security.
  • Defining and implementing data quality standards and processes.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to develop and deploy data pipelines, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Partnering with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in cloud data technologies and trends.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior data architects and engineers.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

We're looking for:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of proven work experience as a Data Architect.
  • Fluency in English.
  • A passion for working with data and transforming raw data into actionable insights.
  • Proven experience in data modeling and data architecture design, with a strong focus on cloud-based platforms.
  • Proven experience implementing data warehousing solutions (cloud preferred).
  • Comfort with SQL language and designing ETL and ELT data pipelines.
  • A strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor junior-level data architects and data engineers.
  • Experience with large enterprise systems & solutions.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred).
  • A willingness to experiment with new technologies and share knowledge with others.
  • Proactive communication with team members and business partners.
  • The ability to translate business requirements into technical data architecture designs.
  • Experience working in an Agile team.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling: Azure DevOps, Git.
  • Experience with Test Automation.
Nice to Have

We're also interested in candidates with experience in:

  • Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Kafka, Hadoop, and Spark.
  • Informatica Cloud or Informatica Power Center.
  • DBT or Coalesce.
