Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Reporting: Collaborate with the team to ensure timely production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related schedules/analysis.
  2. Accounting Operations: Participate in full cycle month-end activities, including general accounting records and GL maintenance, in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  3. Financial Analysis: Responsible for other financial reports and analytical work, such as intercompany balance reconciliation, monthly accruals, journal entry logs, etc.
  4. Financial Planning: Work with the CFO to establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  5. Financial Forecasting: Prepare the budget and financial forecasts, variance reporting, as well as other regulatory reporting.
  6. Financial Analysis: Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
  7. Financial Reconciliation: Prepare and/or review appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations.
  8. Fixed Asset Management: Manage fixed assets, including monthly reconciliation, reporting, and analysis.
  9. Financial Insights: Provide insight on financial reports when management reviews business strategies.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  2. Professional Designation: University degree in Commerce, Finance, or Business Administration, with preference to those holding or pursuing a professional accounting designation (such as CA, CPA, CMA).
  3. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of previous accounting experience.
  4. Leadership: Ability to manage a team is an asset.
  5. Financial Expertise: Financial reporting experience is an asset (ex. preparation of consolidations, financial statements, etc.).
  6. Initiative: Applicants must possess the ability to take initiative and work independently.
  7. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
