We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer for a long-term contract position, allowing for remote work. Please submit your CV/Resumé in English.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement server-side applications utilizing Python.
  • Craft complex SQL queries with Trino to extract analytics data from diverse sources.
  • Build and sustain microservices for our platform.
  • Design and enhance both relational and non-relational databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs and ensure seamless operations.
  • Write efficient, reusable code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain a high-quality codebase.
  • Create comprehensive end-to-end integration tests to verify system functionality.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues within backend systems.
  • Stay informed about the latest technologies and industry trends to foster continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience as a software engineer/developer, focusing on backend development.
  • Strong command of Python.
  • Extensive experience with databases, SQL, and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.
  • Understanding of API design principles and RESTful services.
  • Solid grasp of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience or certification with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Knowledge of message queues and streaming platforms, including Apache Kafka.
  • Understanding of caching mechanisms and performance optimization strategies.
  • Experience with performance testing and profiling tools.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks.
