Position Overview

The Accountant for our Caribbean Central America (CCA) division is responsible for executing daily and monthly financial operations and transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive account analyses and reconciliations.
  • Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies affecting financial reports.
  • Performs monthly journal entries and accrual calculations.
  • Offers financial and analytical assistance to various departments.
  • Facilitates the collection and distribution of financial data.
  • Assists in the month-end closing process and prepares necessary deliverables.
  • Addresses and escalates issues to management promptly.
  • Recognizes and implements process improvement opportunities.
  • Identifies potential risks and proposes alternative solutions.
  • Completes additional tasks as assigned.
  • Maintains attendance and punctuality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proficiency in English (B1 level or higher) is mandatory.
  • Ability to develop knowledge of resources for guidance.
  • Recognizes issues that require escalation and applies appropriate measures.
  • Prior experience or advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Skilled in assimilating research data from various sources.
  • Capable of analyzing and recommending suitable actions.
  • Understands the implications of processes related to their functional area.
  • Intermediate Excel skills are essential.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, adaptability, professionalism, and teamwork are required.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities are necessary.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Preferred Education/Certifications:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance is advantageous.

Work Environment:

  • Professional setting (Remote).
  • Occasional non-standard hours or overtime may be required.
