Job Title: BI Data Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled BI Data Analyst to join our team at Gunvor Group. As a key member of our data analytics team, you will be responsible for implementing data analytic solutions using Microsoft Power BI, providing Power BI related guidance, training, and support to end users, and managing and monitoring Power BI workspaces.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as the go-to person for any Power BI/Data analytic related queries, conducting Power BI end user trainings whenever required.
  • As part of the Power BI support team, reinforce Power BI governance policy, create workspaces, manage user permissions, and adjust workspace settings.
  • Gather and document user requirements, perform solution prototyping when needed, and implement Power BI datasets/reports/dashboards to fulfill business needs.
  • Document analytical processes and datasets for predictive and prescriptive analysis.
  • Manage and work closely with various stakeholders (e.g., end users, senior management, and external vendors) to exceed stakeholder expectations.
  • Recommend ways to improve data quality, process improvement, and understand business value relationships.
  • Translate advanced business analytics problems into technical approaches that yield actionable recommendations.
  • Implement and support the data governance tool Azure Purview.

Requirements

  • 5 years of data/business analyst experience and 3 years of reporting experience.
  • Well-versed with Microsoft Power Platform, especially as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Power BI.
  • Effective analytic and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proactive with a good work attitude.
  • Self-sufficient with good time management skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate complex technical information to a broad array of team members and stakeholders.
