About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Spanish VRI/OPI Interpreter to join our team at Future Group. As a remote interpreter, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between non-English and English speakers during calls.

Responsibilities
  • Answer calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.
  • Take notes during calls and be aware of industry-specific vocabulary, particularly in the healthcare and medical fields.
  • Render all messages accurately and completely, without adding, omitting, or substituting.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients.
  • Apply standards of practice and participate in internal professional training.
  • Communicate and report to your team leader and comply with dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.
Requirements
  • Fluency in English and native proficiency in Spanish.
  • At least 1 year of experience in over-the-telephone interpretation in a reputable company.
  • Good knowledge of medical terminology and awareness of legal terminology is a plus.
  • International certifications in the healthcare industry, such as PICSI, ALTA, or HIPAA, are a plus.
  • High school diploma in your native language.
  • High emotional intelligence and tolerance for different cultures.
  • Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
Technical Requirements
  • A dedicated high-speed, private, and secured internet connection with a minimum download speed of 10 Mbps and upload speed of 3 Mbps.
  • A wired internet connection via an Ethernet port (Wi-Fi is not allowed).
  • A minimum Windows 10 operating system and a computer with a dual-core processor, 2 GHZ or higher, and 8 GB RAM memory.
  • A single device that can run the required systems, with no external devices allowed.
  • A noise-cancelling, wired headset with a built-in microphone and no 3.5mm adapter.
