About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer Associate to join our team at ScotiaTech, a business unit within ScotiaGBS, a Scotiabank Group company located in Bogota, Colombia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Enterprise Content Solutions globally by executing individual goals, plans, and initiatives in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.
  • Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Develop solutions to resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet business needs by applying technological knowledge.
  • Participate in the production of implementation strategies through creation of functional specification documents to support users and presentation of proposed changes to applicable international audiences.
  • Provide on-call (after hours) and weekend production support on a rotational basis.
  • Participate in design, development, testing, and development of new solutions or enhancements to existing applications.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be incorporated into day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in application development, testing, and support using SharePoint (Online / OnPremises) and related technologies.
  • Must be familiar with .Net / Rest API / JavaScript and PowerShell scripting.
  • Good understanding in design patterns and best practices.
  • Experience with build and deployment tools such as Azure Devops / Visual Studio Team System.
  • Language fluency in English and Spanish (B1).
  • A recognized under-graduate degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related discipline.
  • Desirable to have Microsoft Certifications (SharePoint / SPFX / PowerApps / Microsoft 365 Fundamentals).
Working Conditions
  • Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
