As a Senior Graph Database Architect, you will be the driving force behind the technical design and implementation of our new software system. Your deep understanding of graph databases, such as Neo4j, and your ability to design efficient and flexible architectures will be critical to the success of this project. You will work closely with our engineering team, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, performant, and scalable solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and Design a Graph Database Solution: Develop a state-of-the-art graph database solution that can handle complex relationships and scale to meet the growing needs of our organization.
- Graph Database Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and select the most suitable graph database technology (e.g., Neo4j) based on our specific requirements and use cases.
- Engineering Team Leadership: Lead the engineering team in Medellín in the development and implementation of the new software system, ensuring best practices and coding standards are followed.
- Query Performance Optimization: Optimize query performance, database structure, and data modeling to ensure efficient and fast data retrieval and analysis.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years focused on graph databases and their applications in complex, large-scale systems.
- Deep expertise in graph database technologies, preferably Neo4j, and a strong understanding of graph theory and its practical applications.
- Strong proficiency in AWS infrastructure and Python programming, with the ability to design and implement scalable and secure cloud-based solutions.
- Experience in building highly configurable and customizable systems, with a focus on search and knowledge management domains.
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, enabling effective communication with our global team.
