Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to join our team at Endava. As a key member of our data team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing large-scale data warehouse platforms and applications.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a leadership position and drive the development of our data architecture. You will be responsible for leading the development of solution architectures, ensuring the availability and use of appropriate tools and methods, and preparing technical plans and coordinating resources within change programs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of solution architectures.
  • Ensure the availability and use of appropriate tools and methods.
  • Prepare technical plans and coordinate resources within change programs.
  • Advise on technical aspects of solution development and ensure correct application of strategies, policies, standards, and practices, including security.
  • Develop and implement master data management processes, including classification, security, quality, ethics, retrieval, and retention.
  • Create data management structures and metadata for consistent information retrieval, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Plan effective data storage, sharing, and publishing within the organization.
  • Provide expert guidance on database and data warehouse architectures, software, and facilities.
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with AWS technologies.
  • 5+ years of systems architecture experience with large-scale data warehouse platforms and applications.
  • Wide experience leading teams and stakeholder management.
  • Strong data modeling skills (normalized and multidimensional).
  • Strong data analysis and SQL skills.
  • Strong SQL scripting experience.
  • Background and experience with cloud data technologies and tools.
  • Familiar with distributed computing environments.
  • Experience implementing ELT processes and data pipelines.
  • Background and experience with data tools and technologies like BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, and other data warehouse tools.
  • Experience with Spark, Hadoop, Apache Beam, Dataproc, or similar.
  • Real-time and batch processing.
  • Serverless processing.
  • Proficiency in a programming language like Python, Scala, or similar.
