Job Summary

We're seeking a UX Design Leader to join our team and develop a user-centered design plan for our humanitarian projects. As a UX Design Leader, you'll work closely with project stakeholders, design practice, and behavioral insights consultants to create a work plan that meets our project objectives and operational limitations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop a user-centered design plan: Collaborate with project stakeholders, design practice, and behavioral insights consultants to propose and validate a work plan that meets our project objectives and operational limitations.
  2. Lead and facilitate workshops: Direct and facilitate workshops with the IRC project team and stakeholders to prioritize existing decision-making tools and heuristics for prototyping during the design research phase.
  3. Design research: Coordinate logistics with IRC colleagues to conduct design research and create lightweight prototypes in two locations, Medellín, and Cúcuta. Refine prototypes based on client feedback.

Minimum Qualifications

We're looking for a professional with at least two years of experience in user-centered design, leadership in projects that involve creating prototypes, and working with immigrants or vulnerable groups. You should be able to propose and develop prototypes that are viable minimum products for the components we want to test, not complete solution representations. Experience in user-centered design working with women and in the humanitarian sector is highly desirable.

Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
