Job Summary: Credit and Collections Financial Analyst

The Credit and Collections Financial Analyst will ensure all aspects of customers' credit limits and outstanding receivables are resolved, working with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyzes customer credit worthiness within established guidelines to make recommendations regarding the extension of credit and credit amounts.
  2. Assists in establishing and implementing credit and collections policies to maximize sales, improve collections of customer accounts receivables, and reduce outstanding aged accounts receivable balances.
  3. Oversees processes responsible for crediting qualifying new and existing customers.
  4. Leads the establishment of policies and procedures for review and follow-up of delinquent customer accounts receivable balances.
  5. Engages with customers, sales, and finance to understand and resolve undisputed collection issues.
  6. Provides operational support for accounts receivable balances outsourced for collections.

Financial Transactions

  1. Responsible for customers' open balances collections, trial balance reconciliations, unapplied payments & unapplied credit memos reconciliation.

Tracking and Communication

  1. Manages pro-active collections activities to highlight customer balances due in the current period and implement procedures for customer communications to obtain assurances of payment within payment terms.

Operations

  1. Monitors the accuracy of customer data in the accounts receivable database to assist in collections activities.
  2. Assists by providing analytical thoughts as guidance to peers on complex problems.
  3. Assists the Sales team in updating the system according to the Customer Information.
  4. Reconciles customer accounts and payments for the proper collection strategies.
  5. Follows up on payments application and the issue of the Credit Memo needed to reconcile the AR Balance.
  6. Reconciles AR Balance in Oracle vs Governmental system of each country.

Reporting

  1. Provides timely recommendations to management for customer accounts receivable balances in dispute.
  2. Oversees maintenance of customer credit and collections documentation to support audit and legal requirements.
  3. Follows up on reporting for Supervisor as required.

System & Process Efficiencies

  1. Leads and participates in special projects as assigned by Management.
  2. Absorbs challenging accounts from peers.
  3. Participates in all new and existing systems acquisitions – testing.

Project Management

  1. Travels to other regions for training/support of GPO related projects.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in Finance or collections.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • CBA/CBF or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English).
  • Oracle desirable.

Compensation: We offer an estimated salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
