Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to assist in the preparation of tax returns for US citizens and US businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry: Conduct data entry for tax returns, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Tax Planning: Utilize critical thinking skills to assist in tax planning scenarios, identifying opportunities for tax savings and minimizing liabilities.
- Assistance with Tax Planning Activities: Assist in tax planning activities, including research and analysis of tax laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- Experience: 4+ years of verifiable experience in similar positions.
- US Accounting Experience: Experience in US accounting is preferred but not required.
Key Skills
- Computer Literacy: Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel), tax software, and AI research tools.
- Critical Thinking: Excellent critical thinking skills to analyze complex tax scenarios and identify opportunities for tax savings.
- Accounting Principles: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax laws and regulations.
Benefits
- Job Type: Full-time (40 hours), Hybrid.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Location: Medellin, Colombia.
- Pay: $1,500 USD per month.
- Paid Time Off: Paid time off available.
