About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer Lead to join our team in Bogotá. This key role will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our data platform and maintaining high standards of data quality and integrity.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a small team responsible for the operational management of the data platform, focusing on maintaining data quality, handling user tickets, and ensuring system reliability.
  • Manage relationships with clients across various industries.
  • Collaborate closely with the data analytics team and external third parties to assimilate data into the data lake, manage new data sources, and adapt models as changes to data occur.
  • Implement processes and procedures to maintain high standards of data quality and integrity, including data validation, cleansing, and enrichment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with full-stack development experience, SQL, DBT, Snowflake, or equivalent technologies such as AWS Redshift.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with US-based stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is required for effective communication with US-based colleagues and customers.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring a team of developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for delivering innovative solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
