Job Title: Dispatch Manager

Cordatus is seeking a highly skilled Dispatch Manager to oversee the daily operations of our logistics team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of vehicles and freight to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dispatch Coordination: Assign drivers to specific routes and shipments based on factors such as location, vehicle capacity, and delivery deadlines.
  • Monitor Driver Progress: Track driver progress throughout the day and address any issues or delays promptly.
  • Customer and Carrier Coordination: Coordinate with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Performance Analysis and Improvement:
  • Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize delivery times, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Implement Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Team Management and Development:
  • Recruit and Train Team Members: Recruit, train, and supervise dispatch team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Provide Ongoing Support: Provide ongoing support and guidance to team members to ensure they are performing at their best.
Problem-Solving and Contingency Planning:
  • Identify and Resolve Issues: Identify and resolve issues related to dispatch operations, such as route optimization, equipment failures, or unforeseen delays.
  • Develop Contingency Plans: Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions and ensure business continuity.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in dispatch management or a similar role.
  • Skills: Excellent written and spoken English communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
