The role of a Solutions Consultant represents a modern take on traditional Sales Engineering, focusing on how we can best assist our clients in navigating their unique environments, offering solution insights, and ensuring they realize the full value of their investment in Palo Alto Networks. As a Solutions Consultant, you will provide technical direction and expertise, guiding customers through their security transformation journeys. Your contributions will be pivotal in crafting technical solutions that align with a customer's critical business objectives while ensuring they derive maximum value from their partnership with Palo Alto Networks. You will advocate for our leadership in on-premises, cloud, and security operations services, establishing PANW as the preferred cybersecurity partner for your clients.

Key Responsibilities

Curiosity is essential for the Solutions Consultant position, as you will view complex challenges as opportunities for innovation. Your impact will be defined by:

  • Surpassing sales targets by developing and executing strategic technical account plans that focus on cross-platform solutions.
  • Your proficiency in positioning, demonstrating, and creating high-level designs across the entire PANW portfolio based on client business requirements.
  • Conducting thorough discovery sessions to identify and articulate the key technical, operational, and commercial priorities of your prospects and clients.
  • Collaborating closely with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialist teams to ensure comprehensive customer implementation and solution adoption.
  • Exhibiting strong communication skills and the ability to influence through effective presentations, tailored demos, and technical engagements.
  • Leading successful technical validation initiatives based on best practices to secure technical wins in assigned opportunities.
  • Coordinating supporting resources (Specialists, Channel Resources, Customer Support) to ensure a unified approach that reflects a cohesive strategy.
  • Advocating for end-to-end solutions that incorporate PANW and/or partner professional services to expedite customer realization of business value.
  • Understanding the competitive landscape and effectively distinguishing our leadership position.
  • Continuously enhancing your technical and professional skills to increase your contributions to customer success while actively engaging within the Solutions Consultant community and at industry events.
  • (OT) - Identifying technical stakeholders and nurturing relationships with key personas to develop and drive a security architecture transformation roadmap.

Required Qualifications

Your Background

  • Familiarity with data networking and/or contemporary application design and cloud architectures.
  • Experience delivering cybersecurity solutions that address technical challenges and support new business initiatives.
  • Ability to influence and secure buy-in from key stakeholders, whether in a customer-facing or internal capacity; prior experience in a pre-sales role is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or validation engagements.
  • Experience in selling, designing, implementing, or managing one or more of the following solutions: Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP, and/or SOC Transformation Technologies.
  • Collaborating with Customer Support functions to ensure successful implementation and adoption of sold solutions.
  • Experience with complex sales processes involving multiple buying centers and multi-product solutions is preferred.
  • Proficient in English.
