We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Mastercard. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing revenue recording and reconciling to enable accurate, reliable, and timely reporting of financial statements and other financial data.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP, monitor accounting for agreements to ensure compliance with Mastercard's policies, procedures, and related accounting literature, and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Expense Management: Adhere to the monthly and year-end close schedules, perform monthly reporting, and provide insight into revenue accounting activity through preparation of management reporting, variance analysis, and ad-hoc analysis.
- Process Improvement: Work to continuously improve expense processes, recognize opportunities for improvement, and develop action plans to implement them.
- Customer Service: Provide revenue customer service support to help resolve issues in a timely manner and drive front-line interaction with other GBSC teams and internal business units in support of identification and resolution of processing issues.
- Compliance: Monitor and report on the overall health of the Balance Sheet through administration of our Blackline account reconciliation system, participate in SOX testing, and internal and external audits, and respond to requests timely and appropriately.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience: Prior related work experience, with revenue accounting experience preferred. Knowledge of revenue accounting and management processes and systems.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent time management and organizational skills, customer service skills, and excellent spreadsheet and word processing skills.
