Position Overview: A Snapshot of Your Role
As an Accountant, you will take charge of preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing accounts, and ensuring precise financial reporting. This position offers a strategic opportunity to advance your career while maintaining a harmonious balance between your professional and personal life.
Shift: Monday to Friday, TBD (9 to 6, 10 to 7)
Work Setup: Onsite
Your Responsibilities: Key Tasks and Duties
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
- Maintain accurate and current financial records.
- Execute month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and ledger entries.
- Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
QualificationsEssential Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Time
- Knowledge of basic payroll taxes in the United States
- Bilingual in Spanish and English with a high level of English proficiency
- Advanced skills in Excel and all Microsoft-based products
- Familiarity with Asana, Slack, and Google Drive
- Experience in the construction industry and AIA Billing (strongly desired)
- Willingness to assist with insurance audits (training provided)
Preferred:
- CPA certification
- Experience in managing teams (for future growth)
