Job Title: Procurement Specialist Company: CTG Latam (China Three Gorges) Location: Bogota D.C, Colombia Job Purpose: The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement processes of the company and its affiliates.
This role involves ensuring timely acquisition of high-quality goods and services while maintaining cost efficiency.
The Procurement Specialist will work closely with various departments, oversee supplier relationships, manage procurement documentation, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Procurement Planning and Execution: Collaborate with different departments to collect procurement requirements and develop procurement plans.
Ensure accurate data entry into procurement systems and track procurement progress.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to establish strong partnerships.
Manage supplier registration processes in procurement systems.
Conduct regular supplier assessments to ensure compliance with company standards.
Procurement Process Optimization: Organize and oversee procurement procedures, ensuring smooth execution of purchase orders.
Maintain and improve procurement workflows to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Contract and Document Management: Prepare, review, and manage procurement contracts in alignment with company policies.
Maintain accurate procurement records, including contract ledgers, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
Ensure procurement documentation is archived systematically and readily accessible.
Stakeholder Communication & Coordination: Provide procurement-related guidance and support to internal departments.
Address procurement inquiries and ensure smooth communication between teams and suppliers.
Assist in resolving procurement-related disputes or challenges.
Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure procurement activities adhere to internal control frameworks and external regulations.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary procurement documentation and insights.
Implement corrective actions based on audit recommendations to enhance procurement processes.
Position Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related fields.
Experience working with procurement systems such as SAP and ARIBA is desired.
Familiarity with procurement practices in the energy or infrastructure sector is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
Excellent data analysis, reporting, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement software.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
